Overview

During his research on Arnaldo Strucchi (1853–1913), Paolo Dalla Mora became fascinated by the life and publishing activities of this extraordinary figure.

Strucchi, a pioneer in oenology and director and partner of the historic Gancia winery, was the author of one of the most detailed guides on the production of Turin Vermouth, published in 1907.

In his book, Strucchi meticulously describes every aspect of Vermouth production: from the selection of wines to the herbs used for maceration, capturing the essence of this art and laying the foundations for what would later become the Turin Vermouth Consortium.

The Strucchi range is a tribute to his passion and the legacy he left in the world of Vermouth.

Strucchi is a contemporary vermouth brand, created with the aim of bringing vermouth back to its golden age in the early 20th century, when 'Ora del Vermouth' (Vermouth Hour) was an unmissable ritual that brought all social classes together in Turin's cafés for an aperitif before dinner.

The brand reinterprets tradition, adapting it to the palate of the modern consumer. The result is a range of three versatile and straightforward vermouths - Bianco, Rosso and Dry - made with a blend of Italian white wines, accompanied by a Bitter that nods to the essence of mixology.

Riccardo Guasco, an internationally renowned painter and illustrator, has given the range his unique touch. Also from Piedmont, he has reinterpreted some of the icons of the first half of the 20th century for the labels, transforming Strucchi products into true works of art. Guasco was inspired by the imagery of Greta Garbo for Vermouth Bianco, Josephine Baker for Dry, Mata Hari for Rosso and Rodolfo Valentino for Bitter.
