Strucchi Vermouth White
Why it’s different
Vermouth Bianco Strucchi is part of a line inspired by Arnaldo Strucchi, a renowned Turin-based oenologist and author of Il Vermouth di Torino (The Vermouth of Turin) in 1907, the founding document of the current regulations. The idea took shape thanks to the passion of Paolo Dalla Mora, who reworked the historic recipe, giving it a contemporary feel.
The production process for Vermouth Strucchi begins with the careful selection of herbs - including wormwood, gentian and rhubarb - which are pressed and left to infuse for several days in a hydroalcoholic solution to extract their maximum aromatic potential. After maceration, the herbs are combined with a fine Italian white wine - Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, Grillo, Ansonica - which is thus fortified and flavoured. This phase, known as 'mariage', lasts for two days and serves to harmonise the flavours perfectly. After being filtered, the Vermouth is ready to be bottled.
