Single Malts of Scotland
By Velier
Our work with Single Malt of Scotland began with our collaboration with Sukhinder Singh. We met Sukhinder through Whisky Live in Paris and the Maison de Whisky. Right from the start, I felt an instinctive affinity with this visionary entrepreneur, who founded Speciality Drinks, the Whisky Exchange and Elixir Distiller’s in England – the production company which, alongside us and Maison de Whisky, ranks amongst Europe’s leading distributors and producers. Our shared vision has therefore led us to act as importers of each other’s products.
Overview
History
Single Malt of Scotland is a new brand of Scotch whisky bottlings produced by the bottler Elixir Distillers, already known for Elements of Islay and Port Askaig. At the heart of Elixir Distillers is Sukhinder Singh, owner of The Whisky Exchange in London and a whisky collector. Sukhinder is supported by his long-standing selector and taster, Oliver Chilton.
Production Methods
The search for the finest casks of Scotch whisky has always been at the heart of the team’s philosophy. Since 2002, these whisky selections have been released as *The Single Malts of Scotland*, a range of high-profile vintage Scotch single malts, selected for their individual quality and character. In addition to the classic single-cask collection, The Single Malts of Scotland also includes the Director’s Special series, personally selected by Sukhinder Singh, as well as two small-batch collections: the accessible Reserve Casks and the more mature Marriage of Casks.
