Why it’s different

Produced on the Orkney Islands, off the northern coast of Scotland, Highland Park 12 Years Old is one of the distillery's historic expressions and emblematically represents the style of northern Scotland. The character of the distillate is strongly influenced by the local microclimate and the traditional use of Orkney peat, rich in heather and low in marine elements.

The minimum ageing period of 12 years takes place in a combination of European and American ex-Sherry oak casks, selected to ensure a balance between structure, sweetness and aromatic complexity. The colour is natural, intense gold with amber reflections.

How do I drink it?

Excellent for an afternoon drink or after dinner, this is a medium-bodied whisky, excellent both neat and in cocktails. Try it in a highball with soda. Recommended pairing: sushi.
