Why it’s different
A single malt that breaks with the tradition of the Yoichi distillery, which normally produces decidedly peaty versions, similar to those of the island of Islay. Double distillation in “Scottish style” copper alembic, heating over direct fire fueled by coal. This non-peaty version has very malty, fruity and spicy notes, reminiscent of the Scottish regions of Speyside and Lowlands.
