The Balvenie Carribean Cask 14 Y.O.
Why it’s different
Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 years old is a special whisky in the ranks of the classic Balvenie: a single malt that is 'finished' in ex-rum casks from the West Indies of the Caribbean. The result is a whisky in which the sweet aromas of the wood contained sugar cane distillate par excellence stand out.
How do I drink it?
To be enjoyed neat, paired with good dark chocolate or ripe fruit.
Focus
At The Belvenie, raw materials count for a lot: it is one of the rare Scottish distilleries to process barley grown on its own estates, on a one-acre plot, James Wiseman and his son Duncan oversee the growing process of the local barley that will characterise the taste of the Belvenie single malt. the work of the Farmers is very important, it is they (with their perfect knowledge of nature) who will know when the grain has reached the ideal level of maturity to be threshed.
