Why it’s different

The Master Blender's Reserve uses Black Tot 50th Anniversary as its blending base, which is re-bottled in ex-Sherry barrels to which 9 to 24 year old rums from Guyana, Barbados, Trinidad, Jamaica and Australia are added, plus a portion of the original British Royal Navy Rum blend.

Black Tot rums are blended rums inspired by the blending tradition of Royal Navy Rums. The individual blends are composed of liquids from some of the finest distilleries in the Caribbean today. The blend of Black Tot Finest Caribbean includes rums from Guyana, Barbados and Jamaica . Liquids aged in a tropical climate are blended in Scotland. This is all done under the supervision of Black Tot's creators, Oliver Chilton, head blender of Elixir Distillers and Sukhinder Singh, founder of The Whisky Exchange.
