Why it’s different

A rhum agricole élévé sous bois produced from sugar cane grown on the distillery's plots in La Thieubert, Le Carbet, in northwest Martinique. After cutting, partly by hand and partly mechanically, the canes are brought to the distillery and pressed by the end of the day in mills driven by the steam machine, fed by the boiler that uses the "bagasse" as fuel. Distillation takes place in the Savalle copper column. Aging is 15 months in reconditioned ex-bourbon barrels, with aging in French oak barrels that have contained Neisson for several months.
