Why it’s different

A very complex agricultural rum thanks to the rich volcanic subsoil of north-east Martinique, and in particular from the plots of land in the village of Le Carbet, where the distillery is located. The sugar cane cultivated here is harvested partly mechanically and partly by hand, transported to the distillery and immediately pressed in the ancient steam-powered roller mills. During pressing, water is added to the juice and it passes into large, open stainless steel vats, where fermentation begins with selected yeasts from an indigenous strain isolated on the Neisson proprietary canes. Slow distillation in the 1952 Savalle copper column and a long rest in steel vats, where the alcohol content is very slowly lowered to 52.5°. All these attentions during production lead Rhum Agricole Neisson to have a great aromatic complexity. 100 cl format.
