Why it’s different

This 12-year-old Saint James is part of the second edition of the legendary Magnum series, born in 2021 from an idea by Luca Gargano, with the aim of bringing together the great masters of rum with the great photographers of the Magnum agency.

Just like the first, the second edition of the Magnum series aims to offer a range of expressions of rum, which originate from the same raw material but are totally different.

This aged agricultural rum was distilled in the Créole column and produced from a blend of the 2003 and 2010 vintages. The entire production process takes place at the distillery using artisanal methods in order to be covered by Martinique's Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée. Founded in 1765, Saint James is the largest and oldest distillery in Martinique.

If the first edition of the series was accompanied by Elliott Erwitt's iconic label images, the second pays tribute to the American photographer Alex Webb, who has been with the agency since 1979. This bottling is therefore accompanied by a photograph of him on the label, taken in Saint Lucia in 1988.
