Why it’s different

Neisson Profil 107 is a Rhum Elevè Sous Bois aged for just over 2 years, but to the taste it has nothing to envy the older 'vieux' which by law must age for a minimum of 3 years. The complexity in ageing is achieved first and foremost thanks to the microclimate of the chais adjacent to the Le Carbet distillery. The elevage began in reconditioned 190-litre ex-bourbon barrels for 14 months, and then passed into new French oak barrels that underwent a very intense toasting with a profile - Profil 107 for the Tonnellier - that is particularly rich, giving the rum great complexity despite the short resting period in barrels. The big difference of Profil 107 compared to other Niesson rums is the fact that it uses new barrels, which have previously only contained Neisson rums, prepared by 'seasoning' with Neisson agricultural rums for several months.

How do I drink it?

It is an everyday agricultural rum, easy drinking but equally satisfying. Excellent neat, also perfect served on the rocks. Try it in a Rhum Old Fashioned with a few drops of orange liqueur and aromatic bitters.
