Why it’s different
The Unsun Karuta series is inspired by a traditional Japanese card game dating back to the late 17th century and brings together seven releases selected by La Maison & Velier from the remaining stocks at the Nine Leaves distillery. Rohai of Guru is one of the highlights: a Single Cask distilled in 2016 and matured for ten years in a single second-fill French oak cask. Bottled at 57°, it comes from a distillery where Takeuchi did everything himself, from moving the casks to bottling.
