Why it’s different
The 2025 edition of Appleton’s Hearts Collection series follows on directly from the first release in 2020, when the same spirit was presented as a 21-year-old.
Today, five years on, we find that 26-year-old rum, aged entirely in the tropical climate of Jamaica before being bottled in 2025. The result is an even more profound expression, crafted from a blend of seven selected casks, all from pot still distillation and belonging to a single batch, in which the ageing process has produced a notable difference in congeners compared to the previous release.
A rare evolution, allowing one to observe the same spirit at two distinct stages of its life.

This bottling marks a new chapter in one of the most iconic ranges of contemporary Jamaican rum. The Hearts Collection was created with the aim of showcasing the truest essence of Appleton Estate: 100% pot still releases, often sourced from single ‘marks’ or extremely carefully selected blends, designed to provide a detailed insight into the distillery’s technical and aromatic style.
