Why it’s different

The new Velier kit with Hampden Estate Owh 8 Y.O. contains two Gargano Neisson glasses for tasting and a Moleskine Velier rum tasting note, plus of course the extraordinary Hampden rum, which fully embodies the enveloping, complex and fine style of rum created by this emblematic distillery of the highest calibre.

After 265 years, for the first time, Hampden Estate's aged rums were put on the market, marking a historic moment for all rum enthusiasts. The distillery, established in 1753 in the pristine Trelawny area of Jamaica, is considered among the best distilleries in the world due to its production methods dating back to the 18th century, as well as its use of natural raw materials sourced exclusively from the surrounding area, without the use of additives or colouring agents.

This Hampden Estate OWH rum is aged for 8 years in Jamaica's tropical climate, which is equivalent to 25 years of maturation in the more temperate European climate. Made from the single mark OWH, it is bottled with no additives or colouring agents and strictly no added sugar.

Complex, dry and intense, with its delicate spicy and smoky nuances this rum presents notes of ginger, vanilla, black cherry and resin, with bitter tones of dark chocolate and coffee.
