Why it’s different

Genepy is one of the Bordiga distillery's best-known liqueurs. It is the traditional liqueur of the Western Alps obtained from the infusion of the flowers of the Artemisia Mutellina, which grows on the highest rocky slopes of the Maritime and Cottian Alps and is harvested here strictly by hand by mountain people. Bordiga is in fact a very special distillery, specialising in rigour and respect for tradition. Its strong point is the medicinal alpine herbs still harvested by hand and dried at high altitudes by mountain people in an unspoilt environment. This means that the botanicals used are wild. They are harvested without the aid of engines, without pesticides, fertilisers, fungicides and, above all, with enormous attention to product quality while respecting the environment. Each production, just as in the past, is totally conditioned by the changing seasons and climate. Once harvested, the herbs are meticulously checked by the Master distillers who deliver only the best ones for processing.

How do I drink it?

It can be consumed on many occasions: excellent after a meal as a digestive, it is excellent served as a thirst quencher with the addition of ice, and still pleasantly invigorating when drunk warm with an orange peel.
