Our contact with De Kuyper began with Acqua Bianca, a product designed and created by Salvatore Calabrese, one of the world's most famous barmen. De Kuyper is a Dutch company founded in 1695 by Petrus De Kuyper and his wife Anna Custers. It is particularly famous for its liqueurs used in the preparation of cocktails. Our old feeling with Salvatore Calabrese therefore opened the door to De Kuyper, allowing us to also work with the brands Dutch Cacao and Muyu.

Overview

History

The De Kuyper company was founded in 1695 by Petrus De Kuyper, already a manufacturer of casks used in the transportation of spirits and beer. In 1752, the family owned a distillery in Schiedam, which was then the main centre for the production of Dutch gin or genever.In 1911, a new distillery was built in Schiedam and later began the production of spirits, initiating collaborations with distillers in Canada (1932) and the United States (1934, strategically at the end of Prohibition). By the 1960s, liqueur production had overtaken genever production, as drink tastes changed and the promotion of liqueurs for use in cocktails led to an increase in sales. In 1995, the company was awarded the title 'Royal' by Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands;

Production method

De Kuyper Royal Distillers offers a wide range of spirits and cocktail and bar products. The brand is distributed in more than 100 countries worldwide. Its almost 80 types of spirits provide a wide spectrum of taste experiences and possibilities aimed especially at the mixology mopndo, for cocktails, and for mixed drinks in general;
