Why it’s different

In 2023, the Hayot family celebrates 235 years of sugar and rum production: it was in fact in 1788 that Jean-François Hayot bought 'La Sucrerie' in Martinique. Grégoire, his descendant, founded Karukera in Guadeloupe in 2006, and is now recognised as one of the key players in the development of aged rum on the island.

This cuvée created for the anniversary is a blend of agricultural rum aged for 3 years in Seguin Moreau barrels, and rum distilled in Marie-Galante by master Gianni Capovilla, aged for 12 years in Karukera's cellars in Sauternes barrels. Limited edition.
