Why it’s different

As per tradition, Spice Tree is made with 100% Scotch whisky. First maturation in new American barrels of first passage, second maturation of 2 years with an innovative intense roasting system used by Compass Box to enrich the character of its whiskies. Nominated in 2015 Best Blended Malt Scotch at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Compass Box founder, American John Glaser, is a rebel in the world of whisky.

With a background in Diageo, John decides to found Compass Box in 2000, a company that would return to producing quality blended whiskies after a long time.

John's approach is to produce completely different whiskies, which also represent a criticism of the whisky market dominated by low-level blended: creativity, restricted aging rules, little importance of the years of maturation and no filtration to cold are the cornerstones of this selector who amazes and attracts fans and critics.
