Why it’s different

Arran Angels is part of Christian Drouin's Experimental range: it is a series of small-batch, vintage limited editions bottled in collaboration with the excellence of the spirits world. For the ninth edition, Drouin went to Scotland, the historic home of single malts, and turned to the Arran distillery, with which there has been a relationship of mutual esteem and barrel exchanges for twenty years.

For the production of this release, a 13-year-old Pays d'Auge calvados was chosen, aged for 6 months in 6 old French oak barrels that had previously contained Arran whisky.

The result is a delicate calvados with nuances of apple, malt, apricot and pear. The palate strikes a perfect balance between roundness and acidity, with a finish that carries notes of hazelnut and cereal.
