Nikka From The Barrel è un whisky che ha cambiato la categoria: per questo whisky lo chief blender di Nikka assembla i distillati nelle due storiche distillerie di Yoichi e Miyagikyo, inclusa una parte di whisky distillato nell'alambicco a colonna coffey. Per l'invecchiamento si utilizzano botti ex-bourbon ed ex-sherry di diverse taglie e passaggi. È un whisky che colpisce per la sua finezza e complessità. Il nome riprende l'alta gradazione della bottiglia, ovvero 51,4%. All'incirca 100 diversi whisky della Nikka vengono utilizzati per questo blended.
