Why it’s different

Nikka From The Barrel is a whisky that has changed the category: for this whisky, Nikka's chief blender blends distillates from the two historic distilleries of Yoichi and Miyagikyo, including a portion of whisky distilled in the coffey column still. Ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks of different sizes and passages are used for ageing. It is a whisky that impresses with its finesse and complexity. The name reflects the high alcohol content of the bottle, i.e. 51.4%. Approximately 100 different Nikka whiskies are used for this blended.
