Why it’s different

The 2014 Bas-Armagnac Ferme de Bacoge originates in the heart of the Landes region from a small family farm run by Christian Bergerot, a producer deeply rooted in the region’s farming traditions. Christian cultivates less than two hectares of Baco, a historic grape variety of Bas-Armagnac created in the late 19th century by crossing Folle Blanche and Noah. The grapes are pressed and fermented in concrete vats, without the addition of yeasts, before distillation is carried out by itinerant distillers, in accordance with a custom still practised in the region. The ageing process follows a radical philosophy: one harvest, one barrel, always new, with no intermediate racking.

An unusual approach, which sees the Armagnac through from distillation to bottling.

Selected directly from the Bergerot cellars, this Armagnac is a single cask distilled in 2014, comes from cask no. 69 and was bottled at full strength in 2025 in a limited run of just 600 bottles.

Despite having been aged for 11 years, it displays the complexity of a more mature Armagnac, with great intensity.
